Ford Announces Mondeo Line-up

Ford has just outlined the new Mondeo lineup. There will be 40 models, with five speed or 6 speed transmissions, in 4dr saloon, 5dr hatch or estate.
And there will be entry level LX grade, then Zetec, Titanuim and Ghia.
It arrives in the summer and Ford are claiming it is among the first to provide Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard in this class.
Standard equipment will also include seven airbags (including driver’s knee airbag) and air conditioning.
LX engines will include a 1.6litre (110bhp) petrol, 1.8-litre TDCi (100bhp) and 2-litre TDCi (130bhp) automatic, with 5-speed or 6-speed transmissions. A 1.6litre diesel will not be included in the initial launch but will be released shortly after.
Zetec will include a 2-litre (145bhp) petrol and 2-litre (145bhp) petrol and 2-litre TDCi (140bhp) with manual gearbox. Ghia and Titanium add a 2.5-litre petrol.
